As owners of some of the most successful antiques businesses in the U.S. and abroad, they bring passion, experience, and depth of knowledge in the fine art and antiques market as well as the financial services and lending industry.
Tony Barreiro, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Tony Barreiro has been involved in the antiques and fine arts business for more than 30 years. A graduate of Stanford University, he co-founded, owned, and managed four successful antiques businesses, in the U.S. and abroad, as well as a European-based auction house. He is an expert in various segments of the antiques and fine arts market, and received his appraiser’s credentials with the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) in 1998.
Ray Parker Gaylord, Co-Founder, Executive Vice President
Ray Gaylord is the owner of Charles William Gaylord Antiques – a forty-five year old company founded by his father, Charles Gaylord, in 1962. Specializing in fine antique French and Continental furniture and decorations, Charles Gaylord Antiques is one of the world’s largest and foremost dealers in antique French fireplaces. Ray has in-depth experience as an antiques and fine arts dealer and has developed strong business relationships with many of the world’s leading designers, antiques dealers, experts, auction specialists, and industry leaders. He is personally responsible for placing more than $150 million in private and institutional collections. Most recently, Mr. Gaylord was appointed to the European Decorative Arts Council and has been nominated to act in a curatorial capacity overseeing a restoration project for one of the country’s foremost decorative arts museums.
Eric Kjome, Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer
Eric Kjome is the senior officer responsible for managing the Company's day-to-day operations. He was promoted to the position of COO after holding the position of Vice President of Marketing in 2005. Prior to co-founding ArtLoan, Eric ran the daily operations for Charles Gaylord Antiques, after leaving his position at the Kimpton Group. Eric studied industrial, transportation and product design at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Francisco Guzman, Vice President, Product Development & Marketing
As Vice President of Product Development and Marketing, Mr. Guzmán is responsible for helping ArtLoan’s founding executive team bring its unique business model and consumer loan products to life. Mr. Guzmán brings thirteen years of experience in product development and marketing (specializing in new product introductions and business launch), within various industries including financial services, personal care, and pharmaceuticals. Most recently, he was responsible for managing marketing efforts for Banana Republic's re-entry into the personal care & beauty market.
Edgar Harden, Head of Specialists
With a Masters Degree in Art History and a resume that includes expert and curatorial positions at The National Gallery of Art, the Louvre, the Getty Museum, and Phillips and Christie's auction houses, Edgar Harden is ideally suited to act as ArtLoan’s Head of Specialists. Mr. Harden is co-author of the soon-to-be-released catalogue of French furniture in the Victoria and Albert Museum (London) and acts as an advisor and curator to private clients, corporations, museums, designers and dealers. His main areas of personal interest include furniture and decorative arts and design idioms from 1600 to present.
